TOP offers three days a week pre-k classes. The classes meet Tuesday - Thursday. Currently we offer two class sessions at the same time; The Arctic and The Pond. Students must be four-years-old by August 1st to enroll.
The curriculum of both classes are the same and focuses on kindergarten readiness skills. There are monthly math concepts such as, rote counting, sorting, graphing, etc. We teach letter formation, letter sounds and beginning blending, through fun activities. We also promote phonemic awareness during our pre-reading skills.
Large motor play is a part of everyday. Fine motor skills are worked on during crafts and center activities. The students also experience the Children's Library, music time and Chapel Time. Chapel Time is every Tuesday morning. Often the church Pastor stops by to give the lesson.
